I was feeling the remix with Eminem on the Cooking Soul Michael Jackson Mixtape. I checked out Acrista's suggestion and gotta agree, DJ Emir's Michael Jackson mixtape is on another level. You guys really should check it out sometime cause that sucker has some serious remixes especially the Pitbull remix he did over black and white and the Method Man PLO style remix over Bad. He did a tremendous job putting the whole thing together. My kids make me listen to it all te time and for once I dont mind them making me do it... yeah they take over my car radio all the time. What's a loving dad to do? Actually sometimes they make me listen to the first song over and over, and that occasionally does drive me little nuts, but it is a really good remix of Michael Jackson's BAD over Feli Fel & Sean Paul's "Feel It" and I understand why they like it so much.

I felt the same way about this mixtape, I was sorely disappointed with the Kid Cudy Day and night remix over beat it. First I felt as a cry baby performer who complained about part of his past with Disney (which was partially responsible for a ton of his fans) and being such a new artist he just wasn't deserving of a spot on a Michael Jackson tribute mixtape. Second the vocals just didn't mesh well on that track. Personally I would think "Day and Night" would blend with ... "Day and Night" Duh!!! I mean just cause it's an obvious mix doesn't mean it isn't the right mix.
But some of the tracks on the Cooking soul mixtape are pretty dope and it is worth a listen.

Cooking Soul is a concept of mixtapes from a producers point of view, blending songs with new artists to create music that speaks to multiple generations. I love the Cooking Soul mixtape series and what they are trying to do with music of the past to introduce it to new generations. But even without the Cooking Soul concept Michael Jackson was so well loved and well known that his music already impacted multiple generations and was still impacting our world to this day. As far as Michael Jackson Tributes go I personally prefer DJ Emir's Michael Jackson Badder Than Bad Mixtape which really goes hard from start to finish with amazing mixes and blends. He put together the hardest remix of BAD I have ever heard and cuts up Michael's Bad A-Cappella like no other DJ in the game. His mixtape also features tons of original Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 songs along with tons of music that was originally sampled from Michael Jackson hits like 2pacs "letter to my Unborn Child" Jay-Z "I.Z.Z.O." and Nas' "It Ain't Hard to Tell" which really emphasizes the amount of influence Michael still has on today's Hip Hop music and today's music artists. Cooking soul is a great mixtape as far as production goes, but DJ Emir's Badder than Bad is on a whole new level when it comes to a total listening experience. I've listened to many other mixtape tributes to Michael Jackson and these two are the One's I'd recomend to others. I haven't heard any other mixtapes that really do Michael great music justice like The Cooking Soul and The Badder than Bad mixtape. These are the only two mixtapes I feel are worth a relistening to over and over and the only One's I feel are creative in their execution verses the countless mini mixtape compilation mixes that are out there.

Nice drop, O. I saw this but passed because I'm just not a fan of blends. However, I did DL DJ L-Gee's "The Greatest Entertainer of All Time" which is basically a greatest hits package on a double-disc, but it was cool to have everything together and original...
