When I started Jr. High the only Southern rap that the West Coast even knew about was the Geto Boys. Then Outkast came out with Atliens, the best Southern album ever, and we played that shit heavily in the streets out here. Half the garbage rappers on this mixtape can’t even be mentioned in the same sentence with Scarface or Outkast. That’s why cats talk shit about the South now because they remember a time when Scarface’s and Eightball and MJG’s were out and Southern rap didn’t consist of all this bull shit. And no this isn’t coming from somebody who’s outdated and too old to understand, I’m an 80′s baby.
