I agree with those who havent typed in caps.

If u like listening to music about nigaz, bitches, guns (nbg) and Crystal then buy the 99% of hip hop out there.

If you want to listen to tracks which you can relate to (being aussie nbg means fuck all to me) or that might challenge the way you think about your life and your world – buy J5.

Other than that the beats and rhymes make wicked party tracks. I’m seeing them at a festival with 20 thousand others in a couple of weeks (beasty Boys as well) and cant wait.

The album is off the hook, why people slate music they haven’t even heard I will never understand.

There are only two problems with this otherwise excellent record. I actually think “Work It Out” is okay but it’s easily the second weakest track on there. The main problem is “Brown Girl” which is by far the worst thing I have ever heard come out of the J5 camp. Truly awful, awful stuff. Terrible idea/hook/beat, it really reaches a low I never thought I’d hear these guys at. Such a shame since every other track is fantastic.

That being said I would suggest people get a hold of this album and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO IT. Give it it’s fair chance and I can’t see how you couldn’t enjoy it.

i mean, c’mon… let’s be realistic here… how come, a fuckin fifty cent has a XL rate on that wack shit “the Massacre” and J5 got a L? Because 50 sells more. In this magazine the question isn’t “is it good?” but “does it sell?” and that’s fuckin sad, man. I’ve listened to J5′s album and it is damn nice, really good. of course, for someaone who only listens to gangsta rap maybe it isn’t the best choice, but for a true hip-hop fan it is.

Been looking forward to hearing this for a long time and I don’t what the fuck y’all hearing but it ain’t what i just heard. Amazing flow, fresh original production…unique. This album sets itself apart in a whole new category and each track bites at me with originality, something that this artform seriously lacks nowadays. These mc’s have set a high standard for all others, maturing through each album. Neva forget where it began, I didn’t and neither did they..10/10

I heard their single with Dave Matthews and I wasn’t really feeling it. I’ve been down since the EP and I’ve copped every disc since, but this one might not get got. Their sound is changing up with trying to keep up with the mainstream. But I won’t judge on just one song. I’ll wait for more samples. One

Im a disappointed j5 fan. If you have heard the “work it out” single, then thats very much the tone of the rest of the album.

I think the J5 boys have been listening to too much mainstream music, they have lost their sound. And as for “Jurassic’s new disc lacks any material that reflects the genre’s evolution”, WTF you call early hip-hop to todays hip-hop of 50 cent etc “evolution”!?

The problem isn’t their ‘prehistoric’ concepts but that they’re no longer embracing them. When I get a J5 album I get it for the old school beats and rhymes, not for the shameless crossover bids with Scott Storch. (“Don’t Say Nuthin”, anyone?) If the “younger audience” is who they’re trying to please with this album then they’re going to lose this fan who’s loved them ever since the EP.
