Back in 2015, Atlanta artist Dae Dae released a song called "Wat U Mean." It soon began picking up traction, first earning a remix with city stalwart Young Dro and later reaching viral success thanks to a kid who busted stupid dope moves to the track outside his whip. Just like that, it was the hottest song in the A.

The song's success was surely helped by 300, the record label run by music industry vets Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Todd Moscowitz that signed Dae Dae early on. While the song gained spins on local urban radio, they tacked him on to the beginning of Young Thug's Hy!£UN35 along with Lil Yachty and Rich the Kid.

Now that his 4 Reasons tape is out there, Dae Dae's starting to burn up with another single - "Spend It," which just received the remix treatment form Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz today. Get to know the ATLien before he blows up.

Name: Dae Dae

Age: 23

Location: Atlanta

I grew up listening to: "OutKast. Lil Bow Wow. Romeo."

Something people don't know about me: "Very outgoing. Very outspoken. Very talented. I really go hard at whatever I want."

My style has been compared to: "Nobody. Got my own sound. Dae Dae don't sound like nobody."

Standout moment to date: "Basically touching fans. Them feeling the same story that I felt when I make a record. Just getting a reaction. Long as they love it, I like it. I had an older man who was a fan and he told me I was his motivation. He told me he'd wake up every day and listen to my songs.

My goal in hip-hop is: "Being the best. Being the one they listen to. Having music that lasts long instead of having music that you can listen to down the road and touches people."

I'm going to be the next: "2pac. I love his story. Every song he had was a story, and it still had a bounce to it. You could still dance to it. So that's the type of music I make. I make good story music you can bounce to."
