Que’s best known for his collaboration with Migos called “Young N***a,” but now he’s got the streets on lock with his viral hit “O.G. Bobby Johnson.” The Atlanta rapper has been in talks with major labels lately, so don’t be surprised if he strikes gold soon.
Standout: “OG Bobby Johnson”
Also check out: “O’neal”
Hometown: Born in Kansas City, but raised in Atlanta, GA.
I grew up listening to: Tupac, DMX, Outkast, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Eminem
Most people don’t know I: Played basketball my whole life up until my first year in college. I actually have high school rings from wins as well.
My style’s been compared to: Many artists such as Jeezy and Future. However I don’t believe the comparison is about our rapping styles such as flows or lyrics, I think it’s more so because we all three have raspy voices.
My standout records and/or moments to date have been: My first pair of records, “Young N***a (Young Hitta),” “O’Neal,” and my biggest record to date, which is “OG Bobby Johnson.” As far as standout moments are concerned, the most memorable and by far the most exciting moment was when Lebron James put a video up [on] Instagram of him going wild to “OG Bobby Johnson,” saying it was his new theme song on game day. I personally thought it was dope because he actually took time out his day to make a video while he was in his car. He was letting people know what song he likes and I definitely believe it was genuine because of the smile he had on his face throughout the whole video and the continuous laughs!
My goal in Hip-Hop is: To definitely be able to sell records! That seems to be what most artist have a hard time doing now in days. I want to make my stamp and in Hip-Hop and be remembered as an artist that was hard to categorize. And I don’t only want to be remembered as one of the most talented of my time and era, but one of the coolest, down to earth, and humble!
I’m gonna be the next: “I’m gonna be the next” and such or I wanna be the next such and such because I don’t wanna be the next anybody but myself — I wanna be the next Que! Don’t get me wrong, there are many artists that have inspired and motivated me, til’ this day, but I can’t say I would wanna be like the next artist.
