The Break Presents: Jazi

Representing Hawaii by way of Washington state, Jazi came up listening to Missy Elliott, Da Brat and Eminem.

Standout: “Price Of Fame”

Also check out: “Did That”

And: “Go Goow”

Name: Jazi

Hometown: Port Orchard, Washington

I grew up listening to: Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Nas, Eminem and Da Brat

Most people don’t know I: Have a bad temper, love to dance and love to write.

My style has been compared to: Da Brat, Lil Kim and Honey Cocaine.

My standout records and moments to date have been: “Charge” “Carrie” “Did That” Watcha Doin” “Go Goow” and “Price Of Fame” have been my biggest records. Being the first artist in Hawaii to headline their own concert and being the first artist in the state of Hawaii to receive three encores after a single performance. Also being the first rapper in the state to go up against both males and females and dominate.

My goal in Hip-Hop is: To prove that no matter where you from that we all have a story. White, black, yellow or brown, we all have a struggle and my goal is to share that truth with the world.

I’m gonna be the next: Big storyteller. The next big asian female rapper and the next female role model.
