And: "Clique (Freestyle)"

Name: Velous

Age: 21

Hometown: Kingston, New York.

I've been rapping since: I was 15. I have been singing much longer though.

Most people dont know I: Produce as well. I have been producing since I was 13.

My style and skills have been compared to: Style-wise, I've got a little Pharell and 'Ye in me. I am drawn to more high-fashion brands, rebel fashion at times.

My standout records and moments to date have been: Going on tour with Fred The Godson was pretty big for me. I produced a record for Mistah Fab, and am also on the hook for it and the visual got picked up by MTV. Also my new video “Pretty Girls,” got a lot of love on all the major blogs.

I'd like to work with: Overdoz from Cali is really dope. Maybe do some production with Pharell. I have always wanted to work with Los and having the chance to work with him now is amazing. I would also like to work with Big Sean.

My goal in hip-hop is: To bring back originality and individuality to the scene with my work. We live in a time where a lot of the records sound alike, and people are scared to take risks. When I was younger I would be around older cats and just hearing so many different sounds, that's how I fell in love with hip-hop. I want to bring that back, and have people accept being a versatile artist as cool.

I'm gonna be the next: I'm going to be the first.
