The Break Presents: Kazzie

Fresh off inking a deal at eOne Music and a recent collaboration with Waka Flocka Flame, this New Jersey native is hoping to break the generic rapper mold.

Standout: “We Don’t Fuck Wit That”

Also check out: “Say That”

And: “Don’t Judge Me” (Freestyle)

Name: Kassan Sherman a.k.a Kazzie

Age: 20

Hometown: Newark, NJ

I’ve been rapping since: I was five, so 1997.

My style and skills have been compared to: Nobody. People say I’m in my own lane, but I’ve been compared to Game and I can live with that.

My standout records and moments to date have been: My standout record is “We Don’t Fuck Wit That”, and my standout moment is bringing Waka to my city. We put on for the city that day at that video shoot. Salute to Waka.

I’m gonna change the game by: Just being myself, by simply letting people know that it’s OK to be yourself.

I’d like to work with: Nas. He would put me on my A-game.

My goal in hip-hop is: To stay consistent and not to be considered a generic rapper. Singles are cool, but singles don’t make legends. That’s what I want to be, a legend.

I’m gonna be the next: I’m gonna be the next and only me! Me and only me, because that’s all I want to be.
