Reppin’: I grew up in Oakland and Berkeley, California.
I’ve Been rapping since: Freshman year of high school, that’s around the time I started writing down raps instead of taking notes in class. I started making beats around that time too.
My style and/or skills have been compared to: I’m not too big on comparisons, but there’s certainly a lot of people who inspire me… John Lennon, James Dean, Kanye, Drake, just to name a few…
My standout records and/or moments have been: ‘Runaround Sue’ was a big record for me, as well as the music video for it. This whole year has been amazing, between selling out shows, performing with artists I look up to, and playing on the whole Vans Warped Tour this summer.
I’m gonna change the game by: Working harder than anybody you know… paying more attention to detail, and taking the time to make sure everything I release is on point. It’s all about quality control.
I’d Like to Work With: Kid Cudi, Pusha T, actually everybody on the G.O.O.D Music roster…
My goal in hip-hop is: To create something timeless that will last for decades and sound every bit as cool then as it does now.
I’m gonna be the next: rapper to come out of nowhere and surprise everybody this year by blowing up… just because we’ve been building this for years…
