Lil Xan is wasting no time in the new year. On Thursday night (Jan. 3), he delivered his new single, "Watch Me Fall," along with its accompanying video.

The E Dan-produced track will serve as the first single off of Be Safe, Xan's sophomore effort that is expected to arrive next month. Just before the song's release, the Total Xanarchy artist shared the artwork on social media, and told fans how much the song means to him.

"This song is very special to me," Xan wrote on Instagram on Saturday (Dec. 29.) "I can’t wait to show you the progression I’ve made as an artist."

The track is a somber one, with Xan pleading out to a lover to never leave him.

"And if you run away, I swear to God I'll chase you, girl," Xan croons in his signature melodic flow. "You know me and where I be / I'm ready for war!"

2018 was a pretty tumultuous one for Lil Xan, and it included a messy breakup with Noah Cyrusextreme backlash from both fans and media after calling Tupac Shakur;s music "boring" in an interview, a stint in rehab and even a cancelled show after a local rapper threatened him with guns. Xan is reportedly sober now, however, and the gun threats have been put to bed, so it makes room for a clear 2019 to just focus on the music!
