Anderson .Paak season is in full effect. Today (Oct. 4), the ultra-talented California artist drops off "Tints," the Kendrick Lamar-assisted lead single from his forthcoming Oxnard album.

Featuring a funky instrumental, "Tints" is a track that finds both .Paak and K. Dot in their element. On the song, .Paak returns to his singing roots, abandoning the frenetic flow he adopted for his previously released single, "Bubblin'."

Singing over a beat that could've been used by KC and the Sunshine Band, .Paak looks for privacy behind tinted windows. "I can't be ridin', ridin’, round that open strip/I need tints, I need tints/(Windows tinted, I need my windows tinted)/I can’t be flying down that 110 with a bad bitch in my whip/I need tints, I need tints," he belts out in spurts of soulful vocals.

Lending his own touch to the collab, which was first teased in late September, K. Dot cruises over a beat that feels tailor-made for his flow.

"You probably think a nigga trollin'/Or showin' out for the cameras/Fuck I'm doin’ fish-bowlin'?/100 thou on the passenger/Bitch, I'm Kendrick Lamar, respect me from afar/I was made in his image, you call me a god/Everybody in attendance, I'm about to perform/Everybody get offended by the shit I got on," Kenny raps, echoing the .Paak's need for tinted windows.

"Tints" marks the third time K. Dot and .Paak have been on the same track. The first time came on "Deep Water," which is a track from Dr. Dre's Compton album. Their second collab was released on the Black Panther soundtrack cut, "Bloody Waters."
