With his single "Taste" climbing the Billboard charts, Tyga visited the L.A. Leakers on Power 106 in Los Angeles on Monday (Aug. 6) to flex with a freestyle over DJ Mustard's instrumental for YG's "Big Bank."

The Compton native celebrated his popular resurgence with off-the-top bars punning on the names of NBA players. Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr all receive shoutouts.

"Pay me on the first/Niggas know I broke the curse/How it feel when the roles is reversed/Nigga got it out the dirt/Bad bitches 'round, I'ma flirt/And I'm going for my eighth like Kerr," he spits, referencing the Golden State Warriors head coach's eight championship rings.

Tyga's apparently been keeping up on Netflix. Here he also references the movies HerThe Shining and Get Out. In a possible allusion to his ill-fated relationship with Kylie Jenner, he claims he's "back from the sunken [place]."

The "Rack City" rapper's newly platinum-certified single "Taste" featuring Offset peaked this week at No. 9 on the Hot 100. It's his highest-charting song since "Loyal" in 2014. Kanye West has also called the track's visual the "best music video of all time."

The track comes from Tyga's latest project Kyoto, which dropped in February. He released a video for album cut "Swish" in July and also appears on Iggy Azalea's new EP Survive the Summer, released on Friday. Last week also saw the release of YG's Stay Dangerous featuring "Big Bank."
