Seven months after dropping his Maybe Later playlist, Atlanta rapper Reese LaFlare is ready to share what he says has been "some time in the making": his debut album.

The self-titled LP will reportedly detail the past six years of the rapper/skater's life. "I think it defines me as a whole and shows how diverse I am," he explains. "I went back to my roots with this one so if you have been a fan since day one you are really going to appreciate it and also see my growth as an artist."

LaFlare, formerly of Two-9, got his start when he met Don Cannon in Atlanta's eclectic Little Five Points area at a skate shop called Skate Peak. From there, he released two mixtapes (one unofficial) and toured with Wiz Khalifa.

According to the "No Cap" rapper, his forthcoming, eponymous debut will include features from 2018 XXL Freshman Smokepurpp, Young ThugPusha T, Gunna, Yung Bans, Ty Dolla $ign and Vory, with production from fan-favorite Murda Beatz.

On the heels of the big announcement, LaFlare also unleashed the Gunna-assisted "Drip Like That," the first offering off his forthcoming LP. "I met Gunna a couple years ago at the studio with [Young Thug] and he didn’t even rap at the time," Reese remembers. "They are all family to me so this song was a no-brainer. Gunna and I are on the same frequency when it comes to music and fashion so the chemistry was already there for this one."

On "Drip Like That," the Atlanta natives trade bars over a spacey, synth-heavy beat, courtesy of Al B Smoov. "Jesus pieces on me, that's a resurrection (resurrection)/Style just like Harry, I got One Direction (one direction)/Get him whacked for Twitter talkin', that's a instant message (instant message)/Tell him get the message, ya dig?" Reese spits before passing the mic to Gunna.

On his verse, Gunna boasts about his flashy drip, per usual, rapping, "I copped the new Balenciaga socks/I got more syrup than a Waffle House/When it come to the drip, I never, ever have a drought."

Reese LaFlare drops Aug. 17. While you wait for its release, stream "Drip Like That" below.
