Soulja Boy Talks Big Money and Guns on New Song “I Got the Yop on Me”

Soulja Boy might be as famous now for his viral antics as he is for his music, but he's still at his best when he's doing the latter part. Recently he pulled up to remind us of this fact with "I Got the Yop," a thumping banger he dropped off last week (April 26).

As the title of the song indicates, the track is one that finds Soulja spitting about big guns. The CPainBeatz-produced beat he raps over is a menacing one and the lyrics are catchy. Ultimately, it's Soulja doing what he does best—flexing super hard while letting the beat do a lot of the talking.

"I play with that yop, just like Monopoly/Play with that sack, ain't nobody stopping me/I got that yop on me/Stand on that trap with the block on me," he spits. The hook on the track is simple and memorable, and all in all, this new Soulja definitely goes.

Soulja is now about three months removed from dropping off King Soulja 8, a beefy 20-track effort loaded with bangers that hit just like this one. Here's to hoping we get more new tunes from Soulja in the very near future. Shout outs to Soulja.
