Even though he is currently serving his one-year prison sentence, Kodak Black is making sure his mom was shown all of the love on Mother's Day. The Florida rapper teamed up with Jadakiss and TXS to release their new joint record, "Mama," yesterday (May 13), which features them honoring the women that helped raise them.

The new track provides some gentle, upbeat vibes as listeners hear Black, Kiss and the Dallas singer lay down some sentimental lyrics dedicated to their moms. While the Project Baby 2 hitmaker deems his mom his "hero," he also shows appreciation to her for never giving up on him through his worst times.

"I wrote this song tonight for you/Nobody know me like you do," Black rhymes on his verse. "And I don't know how much I need to repay you/You never wash your hands with me and I thank you."

Jadakiss also taps into his affectionate side for his verse, where he connects how his mom has impacted his protection in the streets over the years.

"You would even hide the gun for me after lickin' shots/Send a prayer for me everyday, when I hit the block," he spits. "Used to make me sweep the hallway, then I get the mop/Punishment when I fail, new sneaks when I pass/Only child so I had two feet in my ass."

This isn't the first time that Kodak has released a song that tackles his relationship and love for his mother. Last year, he dropped a song called "My Time," which features him addressing the pain he's caused her.

At the moment, Kodak is currently serving one-year prison sentence after a slew of charges stemming from a gun and marijuana possession arrest since January.  Last month, he was sentenced to serve 364 days behind bars, but he may be able to get out on good behavior before then. Following the news of his sentencing, Black called his time in prison a "blessing in disguise."
