Rae Sremmurd Flip a Three 6 Mafia Classic on New Song “Powerglide”

While Swae Lee gears up for his first project and Slim Jxmmi tries his hand at the solo route, the Rae Sremmurd brothers haven't forgotten about their upcoming SremmLife3 album and drop their latest single, "Powerglide" featuring Juicy J.

Sampling the Three 6 Mafia's 2006 classic "Side 2 Side," Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi keep much of the Memphis group's energy on their new track. "Diamonds unthawed/Coming in froze (froze)/Got too many girls to let one of them go (oh)," Swae raps.

Later in his verse, Swae Lee shows off his vocals, singing, "Oh, money on monsoon/Baby girl full moon (ay)/Yeah these niggas with some money some room/She don't she stop, pedigrees, now they clueless/Oh, they big balling like Mutombo, yeah."

Juicy J also comes through with a verse of his own near the end and gives a shout out to the late Lil Peep. "V12 helped me get up out the jam/Trunk full of slam/R.I.P Lil Peep/I gotta slow down on them Xans (hey)."

In January, Rae Sremmurd revealed their upcoming album will be a triple-disc project. According to Mike Will Made-It, SremmLife3 will consist of Swae Lee's Swaecation, Slim Jxmmi's Jxmtroduction and the duo's offering.

"SremmLife three is a Triple disk one side RaeSremmurd , one side Slim Jxmmi , and one side Swae Lee wanted to put a twist on this album," Swae tweeted.

Although a tracklist for SremmLife 3 has yet to be revealed, the album is expected to include the duo's previously released single, "T'd Up." The song was recently featured in an ESPN promo for a Cleveland Cavaliers-Boston Celtics game.
