Kami returns. Very recently, the SaveMoney artist pulled up with From Me to You, a smooth, three-track EP that arrives just a bit less than a year after he dropped off his Just Like the Movies album.

The new EP ditches the New Wave vibe of Just Like the Movies for a more ambient R&B feel. Audio canvases aside, though, Kami remains an impressive vocalist, crooning softly over production from Super King, Andrew Luce and  Harlan Silverman.

With velvety vocals and the overall sensuous vibe of his songs, Kami's used to getting comparisons to popular hip-hop and R&B artists. Speaking with XXL for The Break last summer, the dynamic artist said that, although his sound's been compared to others, trying to box in his artistic identity is a hard task to undertake.

“People like to do the Kid Cudi or The Weeknd comparisons with the sound, which is cool as hell," he explained at the time. "My sound itself is very nostalgic or comparable but it’s not easy to compartmentalize. It’s a decent blend of future sounds and nostalgia. I get those two a lot. I feel like both of those comparisons, those two people, they took big risks and were confident with what they were doing."
