After making a name for themselves in 2017, with the release of their debut album and having their single "U-RITE" featured in an NFL commercial, duo They. are back with a remix of Charli XCX's song, "Boys."

Infusing their signature grunge&b sound into Charli's pop track, They. singer Drew Love mixes his smooth vocals with the song's bouncy beat. "What you tryna prove?/Who you tryna fool?/I know that a girl like you ain't got no rules/I know girls like you they like to pick and choose/I know what you tryna do," Drew sings on "Boys."

After dropping their debut album, Nu Religion: Hyena, in February, XXL caught up with They. to discuss how the project came together. According to Drew, the duo made their way to Miami's Hit Factory where they got to work with legendary hip-hop producer Timbaland.

"He was really like a big uncle," Drew told XXL. "He was just really cool. It was more just watching him, watching him work and watching how he interacted with everybody else. He just came like, 'Y'all shit is tight, y'all shit is really cool.'"

Drew said Timbo then gave producer Dante the freedom to do his own thing instead of telling him what to do. "He let Dante do his thing and was like, 'Yo, this is tight,' and added stuff at the end and kinda gave him pointers from there as opposed to overpowering and overshadowing," said Drew.
