Atlanta's own 550 has recruited hometown hero 21 Savage for his new single "Radar," a menacing trap song produced by Yung Lan.

The rapper—whose moniker is a nod to the Mercedes-Benz S550—spoke about the inspiration behind the track.

“Radar is about staying in your own lane," he tells XXL. "Don’t try to be something that you’re not. If you're not about that life, then stay off the radar."

The track starts off with a gritty 550 verse. "Fuck me a bitch/call her a Lyft/That brand new Ferrari, we smoking the piff/Lift, a bale in the morning, we trapping on shift," he spits, clearly getting his point across. "Sip, a pint of that lean, like drinking a fifth."

The song closes out with 21 jumping on the track, bragging about how good the rap game has been to him: "Spent a quarter million on seals nigga, for real nigga/5M's just to sign a deal, nigga/ for real dog," he brags. "Fuck around with Savage, he kill, dog."

"I put Savage on the track 'cause we been riding in the same lane for years—even before it was a lane," says 550, who is real-life cousin to Future.

As for 21 Savage, he's had a lot going on. His two-year old collaboration with Metro Boomin, "Pause" appeared online, and he found out that he has a new and unlikely fan in Tomi Lahren. Forbes also chose 21 as one of its Future Moguls, projecting that more money lies in his future.

"Radar" is the latest from 550's upcoming mixtape Hoodlum, which he is releasing Friday (Jan. 26).
