Statik Selektah is gearing up to release his new album, 8, dropping Dec. 8. With just a week away from the release date, Statik drops his newest single, "Ain't a Damn Thing Change" featuring G-Eazy, Joey Bada$$ and Enisa. The smooth record finds Gerald and Joey handling the verses while Enisa handles the hook. This is a nice preview of what fans can expect from 8.

"Living fast as a bullet straight out a gun barrel/And I won’t touch hater’s hands, you hella unsterile/My career trajectory is the up arrow/FedEx knocking, droppin' off platinum plaques/That's two in a row, I'm doing back-to-backs," G-Eazy raps.

The group of artists work really well together and the song is a standout.

"It was dope just sending the track with nothing on it to G-Eazy and seeing what he did, then Joey following the theme," Statik says through email. "Especially ’cause Joey did the verse a few months ago referencing his gold soon to be plaque [for 'Devastated'], and this week it just went platinum. Life imitates art and back around. Enisa brought it up a notch with the chorus she wrote and sang as well. She didn’t even tell me till afterward that she was in one of Joey's class[es] in high school! Crazy."

The 18-song LP includes a star-studded cast with appearances from 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, The Lox, Westside Gunn, Conway and late rappers Prodigy and Sean Price.
