It's been a heavy rollout year for Mobsquad Nard, who has provided fans with tons of new material, but he's getting the remix treatment from one of the biggest DJs in the game. OG Ron C remixes the Jacksonville rapper's new songs "Black Magic" with Starlito as well as "Itz Dat" with Boosie BadAzz.

The new "Chop Not Slop" remixes from Ron C bring a whole new vibe to the already upbeat anthems, lacing the tracks with a chopped and screwed style that the Houston native is best known for.

Ron C tells XXL that a friend originally referred him to Nard's music, and once he heard it, he instantly became a fan and wanted to tackle a remix to his previously released joints.

"A long time friend of mine, Ms. Nancy Byron, who knows the type of artist I like, suggested I take a listen, and once I heard his music and lyrics, I became an instant fan," he explains. "He brings that young energy that I personally like as a DJ."

Speaking with XXL, Nard also shares his appreciation for Ron C wanting to working with him on the new remixes, which will help put his hometown of Jacksonville even more on rap map.

"I feel grateful," he says. "I know everybody not getting that kind of love so I definitely appreciate the OG for rocking with me."
