Rising rapper OMB Peezy has just announced his first project, a collaboration effort with producer Cardo. Titled Humble Beginnings, the record is expected to release in October but before then, the rhymer drops off his latest video for the track "Pressure."

While the song won't be featured on Peezy's upcoming project, "Pressure" does show off what listeners can expect from him lyrically. "Strapped up with a stack on me/Trap me up I lay you flat homie/I worked too hard just to get that money/I never let a nigga take that from me," he raps over a minimalist piano-laced beat.

The Alabama-bred rapper also showcases his rapid-fire style on "Pressure," showing why he is one of the next rappers to watch in the game.

While originally from Mobile, Ala., Peezy moved to Sacramento where he caught the ear of Bay Area legend, E-40. Thanks to some help from E-40's artist, Nef The Pharaoh, Peezy found himself signed to Sick Wid It Records and eventually 300 Entertainment.

Speaking with XXL, Nef says he learned about Peezy after his one of his cousins played his track for him. “I was in the car with one of my cousins and he actually was playing the song, and I’m like bro… who the fuck is this nigga?" he said. "The song is like three weeks old, and he’s like… oh it’s OMB Peezy.”

After Nef's manager was able to find Peezy, the rapper played his music to E-40. "He spit real shit, shit I can relate to,” said E-40. “His aggressiveness on the microphone, you can hear all the words clear, you can tell it’s from the heart. I can relate to what he’s saying, because I was once 20 years old. And he smart too."
