Kendrick Lamar has been on fire all year, and now he's hooking up with a diverse set of rappers for DJ Kay Slay's new song. The New York disc jockey releases his new record, "Cold Summer," which sees the DAMN. rapper teaming up with Kevin Gates and Mac Miller.

The three hitmakers provide some catchy verses over the upbeat, soulful instrumental, with the song joining the tracklist of Kay Slay's upcoming The Big Brother project. While K. Dot kicks things off with some conscious rhymes as he usually delivers, we hear Miller talk about his high intelligence and the trials and tribulations he goes through to reach more success before Gates drop off some of his hard-hitting lyrics.

"I know responsibility weighing down my shoulders/Summertime I'm always the coldest," Kendrick rhymes. "Do you dirty like the projects, 25 then you are the oldest/This is the feeling you get when you ride/Till the wheels fall off and there’s no more drive."

We've never heard these three spitters all on a track together, but it definitely sounds like Kay Slay might have the right idea when it comes to mixing and matching artists of different rap sub-genres.

"Cold Summer" follows in the footsteps of Kay Slay's previously released track, "Wild Ones" with 2 Chainz, Rick Ross and Kevin Gates from July. The Big Brother is slated to drop on Sept. 23.
