Fashawn is gearing up to drop the new EP, Manna, later this month. Today we get the title track from the Fresno, Calif., spitta.

Shawn catches wreck over a busy instrumental which is highlighted by ever-present hi-hats and a boisterous horn loop, as he toes the line between righteous and ratchet. "Similar to Moses I would give you niggas Manna/This that Grizzly City grammar/This a brick inside a Phantom/Fuck around, Instagram it/I could never ditch the camera/You can find me in the gutter/Hammer, on my hip, Cal/Leather grip, blaow now you hit/Hear that, loud in the spliff crowd know its piff/Leave you sittin with the clouds body found by a ditch/All I need is a few pounds and a mound I can pitch," he spits.

The simple chorus spells out the dichotomy of life in the struggle. "Breathe, kill, murder, survive/Hustle, struggle, the pain, the pride," he repeats on the hook.

Manna is the follow up to the 2010 XXL Freshman's 2015 project, The Ecology. Last month, Shawn dropped the video for the Manna single, "Mother Amerikkka," which reflects on the country's injustices. Manna drops on Aug. 11.

2017 continues to offer some dope projects as August has some ill offerings slated for release, including music from Action Bronson, Dave East, A$AP Mob, ASAP Ferg, XXXTentacion, Mozzy and more.
