A.Chal Is Going Through the “Matrix” for New Song

With a new mixtape coming out soon, A.Chal drops "Matrix," produced by P on the Boards and Bizness Boi. The song is the second single off On Gaz, his new project set to drop June 2. The first single was "To the Light,” which dropped in March followed by the video in April.

"Going through the Matrix, red or blue pills, black shades that's the basics/I feel it when they're eyeing, that's why I move low. Get the codes, never mind 'em," croons the Peru-born singer.

The song is a celebration of the one-year anniversary of his 2016 full-length release, Welcome to GAZI. After the album was released last year, A.Chal kept a relatively low profile. XXL talked to him about his creative process.

"My creative process changes," he said. "Before it was creating the production first and it would revolve around that. Now it’s literally writing and writing about what’s going on and figuring out the topic to the melody, to the production so it’s revered now because my platform has changed."
