Twelve years after they came together as the duo DangerDOOM and dropped the project The Mouse And The Mask, MF DOOM and producer Danger Mouse are reissuing a special edition of the project with two new tracks, dubbed Metalface Edition.

The album comes in two forms: a vinyl edition, and a CD version that also contains the 2006 EP Occult Hymn. The re-release comes via DOOM's Metal Face Records and can be pre-ordered here. It releases on May 5.

DOOM is known for dropping fire collabs over the years, including joint projects with MF Grimm, Madvillain and Masta Ace. Most recently, he and Bishop Nehru joined forces on the album, NehruvianDoom, in 2014.

Of course, Danger Mouse is no slouch himself when it comes to linking with other artists. He famously joined forces with CeeLo as Gnarles Barkley for the projects St. Elsewhere in 2006 and The Odd Couple in 2008. Their song "Crazy," off the former album, won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2007.

At one point in 2015, Danger was reportedly working with A$AP Rocky on a joint project. “Danger Mouse is ill,” Rocky said during an interview on Pharrell’s Beats 1 radio. “People don’t appreciate that kind of shit. There’s no lyrics out there. What’s important about this, he told me, ‘yo dude, you bring out a side in me that I need’. And I feel he brings out a side in me. We got records. I can’t wait to let you hear them.”

No project ever materialized, but Mouse was all over Rocky's album At. Long. Last. A$AP.
