Slim Thug is a boss that lives like royalty. The Houston rapper makes that abundantly clear in the music video for his song "King." The Boss Hogg Outlaw flies in his own private jet and cruises around the city in a luxurious ride over the course of this new visual. While the veteran MC enjoys the fancy transportation, he kicks some rhymes about his royal status.

"Fuck what anybody say about me/I'ma make them eat their words, watch me/God got me, can't nobody stop me/You see me winning, why not copy/I ain't perfect, but I'm getting better/Everyday I wake up I keep getting better/Learning something new, getting more cheddar/I'm in that gym tryna get it together/Making sure as I get older I get colder/And if you hating that, I ain't trying to know ya/Cause kings only kick it with kings/And if you ain't thinking like that, you ain't on my team cause I'm a king," Slim raps.

XXL caught up with Slim earlier this year following the release of his Hogg Life Vol. 4: American King album. The "I Ain't Heard of That" rapper said fans will never hear him trying to mimic any new sound in an attempt to stay relevant.

"Honestly, I don’t even try to fit in, I don’t try to sound like nobody right now or do anything that these new guys is doing," Slim said. "I just want to be me, I just want do my own thing and I want to stand in my own lane. I want to keep the Texas sound going. When we came up, it was all about keeping that Texas sound going and nowadays it’s drifting off to a lot of other places, and it’s cool because that’s what youngsters do. But me personally, I just want to stick to what I grew up on, that Pimp C, UGK, Bun B, that trill sound. I’m going to stick to that and stay in my own lane and hopefully everybody leave and I can get all the money for myself."

If you haven't already, make sure to check out Slim's Hogg Life Vol. 4 album. It is arguably the best LP in his Hogg Life series.
