South Central Los Angeles rap group Overdoz. are back with new music. They released two tracks, "New Ish" and "Oldie But Goodie," on Tuesday (Dec. 13). The two records are the first songs the group has released as n group this year. Joon, Kent Jamz and P each take turns rapping over melodic production, flashing the versatility that gained them their loyal fans.

For the RCA/Polo Grounds signees, the last project they released was Live For, Die For, which dropped last year. Before that was their breakout tape Boom which was released in 2013. Between the last couple of years, the group has appeared on projects from A$AP Rocky, Dom Kennedy and Audio Push.

Fans have been waiting for Overdoz.'s debut album 2008 for a while. Their first single off the LP, "Last Kiss," dropped last year. We spoke to Overdoz. about the debut album and learned that the group has been working heavily with Organized Noize and Pharrell.

“What I liked about Organized Noize, they wasn’t scared to say, ‘Sing it like this,'” said Kent Jamz. “I’m not the type for people to really tell that to me. Producers usually let me loose and I can be in the booth for like two hours. Noize would tell me, like, ‘Come out real quick, sing it like this.’ Then I’ll sing it my way and they’ll tell me, ‘Come right back out and sing it like this.’ The dude who’s telling me is the same guy who helped make ‘Waterfalls’ by TLC.”
