Kodak Black's current living arrangements are a hindrance to his come up as an artist, but he won't let a bad situation completely stunt his shine. Trying to keep his name popping while currently in jail, the 2016 XXL Freshman drops the new track "Chances."

On the short single, which is produced by Clipbeatz, the Florida rapper reflects on getting arrested and the choices that got him there in the first place. "There them crackas go again/Freeze let me see your hands/Shit didn't go the way I planned/Niggas out here taking chances/I hear you gotta take a chance," he raps.

The Pompano spitta remains locked up in a St. Lucie County jail for two misdemeanor weed charges. Last month, Kodak was sentenced to 120 days in prison, though he won’t serve the entire four-month sentence, because he’ll be credited time already served behind bars.

Kodak pleaded no contest to one charge of possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana and one charge of use or possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He is expected to be released on Nov. 30, but he’s still facing criminal sexual misconduct charges in South Carolina, so whether he’ll actually be free at that time isn’t yet clear.

Kodack has been getting a lot of love while he's been behind bars. Last month, University of Louisville quarterback, and fellow Pompano native, Lamar Jackson shouted out the rapper following a blowout win over Florida State University.
