New York rapper Black Dave is back with a fresh new freestyle to guide you into Labor Day weekend. Produced by Nick Catchdubs, Dave drops "Hangover" via Soundcloud today (Sept. 2).

Catchdubs' EDM-style beat grabs your attention as Dave, the self-proclaimed "compulsive liquor sipper," tries to piece together what happened last night. This loosie is actually the first official release of Dave's from Fools Gold Records and is meant to serve as an appetizer for a joint project on the way from himself and Catchdubs.

The tape, which will bear the same name as the freestyle, is "a collection of bass anthems and turn up tales from the city that never sleeps," writes Fools Gold in the song's bio section.

Last time we heard a full project from Black Dave was 2015's Stay Black 3. Though his name has been a mainstay in New York's underground rap and skater scene for years, Black Dave made his way to The Break in 2013. The Bronx native grew up listening to all the major Empire State crews — Dipset, Terror Squad, The LOX and G-Unit just to name a few — and doesn't seem to have a problem remaining an underground act as long as he's true to himself

"I skate, I rap. Just be authentic with what I do so cats around the world who share similar interests have someone or something to relate to," explained Dave. "and I know ya’ll are out there."
