Nipsey Hussle was able to sneak his latest Marathon Mondays track in just under the wire. It seemed like the Los Angeles native was going to miss out on this week's edition of the series, but Nipsey delivered the new single "Shell Shocked" on Monday (Aug. 1) as promised.

The song title might be "Shell Shocked" yet Nipsey Hussle won't be mistaken for being caught off-guard by his situation. The Cali rapper lays out his moves in the rap game on explanatory verse over the production of Mike & Keys, Resource, MARS and Tariq.

"I came up but I been down/Cause I stand up nigga when they sit down/And I gas on niggas in the six now/And I built my lane in a brick pile/Not a broke real nigga or a rich clown/And I coach lil niggas in the mix now," Nipsey Hussle raps.

Nipsey Hussle is always staying cool under the pressure. The MC showed that just a few weeks ago when he was being handcuffed by police. The officers did not take possession of his phone, so Nipsey snapped a picture of himself in the midst of the situation. Everything turned out fine for the rapper as he was able to post about it on Instagram later that day (July 15).

Fans have been patiently waiting for Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap album, but it looks like he might have other plans. "The Life" rhymer shared a picture on social media of him mapping out plans for something called The Marathon Package. It looks like Nipsey might be putting together his Marathon Mondays records for an official release.
