Locksmith is truly one of the best lyricists in the game today. The Bay Area rapper continues to top himself with each new song or freestyle he releases. Last week, Locksmith wowed his fans with the rhymes on his "Black Hole" freestyle. Due to the positive reception, the skilled MC to make a music video for the Kato produced track.

There's nothing too elaborate in this video but there doesn't need to be. The real star of this show is Locksmith's bars which are unparalleled.

"I write my songs from a genuine place/If that makes you uncomfortable, fuck you, just leave/They manufacture our art with no soul/Looking at faces, a desolate hole/Long as I'm breathing, I'll keep making music I cannot create 'em under corporate control," Locksmith raps.

The "Black Hole" freestyle is just a holdover for fans as Locksmith preps his new album Olive Branch. The LP will be Locksmith's follow-up to the 2015 album Lofty Goals. That project featured collaborations with the likes of Jarren Benton, Futuristic, Chris Webby and Marc E. Bassy. No details about Olive Branch have been released yet other than it dropping in 2016.

Outside of the work on his new album, Locksmith recently made a show stealing appearance in the Team Backpack cypher. Locksmith, who was Team Backpack's 2013 verse of the year champion, teamed up with 2014 champion CyHi The Prynce for some outstanding rhymes over a beat made by Trox.
