As Dom Kennedy gears up for the release of his forthcoming project Los Angeles Is Not For Sale Vol. 1., we get more music from the Cali slow-flow king. Today, Dom drops the new track "96 Cris."

A soulful joint produced by Jake One, the OPM head finds his groove on the track announcing, "Shout out to the homie from the Bay at the afterparty/That gave me that kill/But I still/Fuck with my nigga Smack/We smoke spliffs with some 96 Cris," he raps on the chorus referring to Cristal, a champagne rappers like Jay Z and The Notorious B.I.G. made popular in the mid-90s.

The Leimert Park legend steps it up a notch on the verses, spitting, "With more quotes than that evangelist/You from Los Angeles/Don't fall in love with the camera/I got homies with so many tats on they face/I just laugh, watch 'em shoot craps, rollin' J's/Still miss my nigga Phil, po' the drank/Real G's don't gossip/Don't be tellin' me what you read on Bossip, lil nigga/Truth be told, I'm tryna find me/Bombed on fools in the 90's/Not nowhere near Tookie but don't push me."

After being dormant all year, Dom returned two weeks ago with the new track "U Got it Like That" featuring Niko G4. Fans have been giving the Cali spitta mixed reviews on his new material, but hopefully he can get his swagger back with this new project which should be coming soon.
