Earlier this month, it was revealed that Nas and Erykah Badu had a collaboration on The Land soundtrack titled "This Bitter Land," and today that song premieres, a moving ode of sorrow and struggle. The collaboration comes ahead of the film and soundtrack release this Friday (July 29).

On his lone verse, Nas opens "Running on the concrete, across the train tracks / The devil is behind me, and the ghetto’s where you’ll find me / It’s where I stays at" and addresses police brutality. He then tells those making the decisions that are negatively impacting him and his community, "stop riding me, stop driving us into a suicidal ideology." As Badu sings and violins play, Nas sums it up with, "Look what it comes to, so what you gon do?"

The Land, which follows young skaters in Cleveland with dreams of the big time, is exucutive produced by Nas and stars Badu as well as Michael K. Williams and Machine Gun Kelly.
