Mickey Factz Comes for Joe Budden With “Eye Witness”

Like a scrum in rugby or a dog pile in football, what started as a beef between Joe Budden and Drake continues to pull in more bodies with Mickey Factz joining the fray with "Eye Witness," a diss track directed at Budden following a Twitter exchange thew two had over the weekend.

It seems things all started a few weekend back when Mickey tweeted "Pump Pump Pump Pump it up. Lol," a reference to the alleged sub Drake threw Budden's way on French Montana's "No Shopping." Fast forward some and Budden writes on Twitter, "Mickey talks too much from the sideline…. Ironically enough, he was quiet on the sideline when I needed him to talk… Do u, i’ll do me." From there the back-and-forth escalated quickly, with Mickey eventually writing, "No more talking from me. Track on the way."

Which brings us to "Eye Witness," a Nottz-produced track that includes just lines as "Notice the talent and cope with the silence / Drake ain’t respond and like a bitch, you got emotional at it" and "Shit was so petty with your ego / You put the mic down, don't tell me you was emo / I’m a Cancer, gave his skeleton a chemo / And turned Joe Budden to Joe Pesci in Casino."

Late last week, Budden revealed why he started his lyrical onslaught against Drizzy, telling The Brilliant Idiots podcast, “I’m hurt. I am hurt. I’m appalled that nigga who know my pen game… he know I don’t care about none of that fame, success, attention, none of that. He know what I do. And you want to use your celebrity to do that to me? We smoked hookah together. How could you do that?”
