Is Kembe X the next to blow out of Chicago? The 21-year-old rapper puts his hat in the ring with the release of his debut album, Talk Back.

Kembe offers up 14 new tracks with guest appearances from Zacari P and frequent collaborator Alex Wiley, and production from The Antydote, Bentley Hazelwood, Hippie Sabotage, DJ FU, and Crooklin.

X got the ball rolling on the project when he put out the singles "Buried Alive" and "Talk Back" last November. In January, he released the album's third single and video "Squad Day (Work Week)." Last month, he put out the single "10 Feet Tall" fresh off rumors that he had signed a recording contract with West Coast powerhouse Top Dawg Entertainment. A couple weeks ago, the rapper put out the new track "Boomin'," which did not make the cut for the LP.

The Windy City MC is no newbie to the game as he has been putting in work on the underground scene for a half a decade. He put out his first mixtape, Self Rule, back in 2011, which garnered a buzz in the region. The following year, he dropped the collab project with Alex Wiley, Can I Borrow a Dollar. In 2013 and 2014, Kembe X put out the tape Soundtrack II Armageddon and the EP Kembe X, respectively.

Kembe puts his life on wax on the new project, Talk Back.
