It's been a while since we got a solo joint from GZA, but the Wu-Tang Clan member recently dropped a new song called "The Spark."

This isn't your average rap track, and is more like a science class lesson delivered by GZA for the National Aeronautic and Space Administration in conjunction with their ongoing Juno Mission.

On the cut, The Genius vividly breaks down what happened in the nanoseconds following the Big Bang, and the creation of the universe. "From the mind, thought produced a speck of light/It was infinitely hot, so extremely bright/Within the centre of this great shining/There was enormous energy - it was expanding in great timing," he raps.

GZA's sword is as sharp as ever as he recounts what most scientists believe happened in the beginning of time. "Sixty billion miles in diameter/Temperature of seventeen trillion Fahrenheit to damage ya/And it was only a millionth of a second old/And it would be another million years before turning cold," he spits.

The June Mission was launched back on August 5, 2011 with its intent to travel to Jupiter to collect data on the biggest planet in our solar system. The track comes with almost perfect timing as the mission is set to arrive at the gas giant on July 4.

"The Spark" will appear on the upcoming compilation Destination Juno which will feature songs from other artists including Trent Reznor and Weezer.

GZA is currently working on his seventh solo album Dark Matter. It will be the clansman's first solo project in eight years following 2008's Pro Tools.

Last summer, he revealed he was working with legendary electronic musician Vangelis on the project, and even canceled part of his tour to get the studio session complete.

The album still doesn't have a release date.
