It's almost as if Curren$y doesn't know how to take a break. The relentless mixtape maker drops another Soundcloud loosie today (JuJuly 27) called "Rolling Stoned." Over a horn-heavy beat courtesy of Edan and iD Labs, The New Orleans chainsmoker lays down his laidback bars. But don't sleep on the one-liners in this one.

"Money for a rainy day/Money for a sunny one/Just when suckas think you playing/That's when you gotta stunt on them," raps Spitta Andretti in the first verse.

Could Currensy be gearing up to drop even more music? He just dropped his umpteenth project of his career, Weed and Instrumentals 2, just last week. Before he let the 25-track tape loose, he previewed the sound with fans with songs like "Canal Street Boys" and "Good Cop, Bad Cop," the latter of which was a response to the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille. Before that, the NOLA vet gave listeners the Stoned on Ocean EP last month, featuring production value from Cool and Dre and assisted verses from Wiz Khalifa and Styles P. In fact, Spitta says he recorded all seven songs of this EP in one night. Who says weed smokers are slackers?

Stoned on Ocean and Weed and Instrumentals 2 serves as Currensy’s seventh and eighth projects of 2016. Since the beginning of the year, all of the music he's been releasing has been free. Currensy is clearly just having fun with his craft and not taking anything too seriously. Check out "Rolling Stoned" above.
