Troy Ave is currently in a dire situation having been hit with attempted murder and gun possession charges following the shooting at Irving Plaza in NYC. But he's still kicking flava like Tae Kwon Do. Today, he drops the new record "Chuck Norris (Hoes N Gangstas)."

Over trap drums and a saxophone melody, Troy Ave mixes savvy and gangsta, rapping about his street ties and lavish living.

This is possibly off Ave's recently announced upcoming mixtape project Real Vs Fake which is set to drop next week.

Music aside, Troy Ave has an uphill battle ahead of him as he fights to clear his name, which it appears he will do.

The BK MC, who was also struck during the gunfire, was recently released from the hospital into police custody. Earlier this week, he was formally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession in relation to the shooting. He was also denied bail and currently remains behind bars. Cameras inside of Irving Plaza captured him shooting a single shot at an unpictured target leading to his arrest.

The Brooklyn MC claims he was the victim in this whole thing and his lawyer Scott Leemon is seeking the public’s assistance with helping to exonerate his client. “What really happened here is Mr. Collins here is the real victim," said Leemon. "The person who was killed at this event, he died a hero. He was his bodyguard. He wasn’t shot by Mr. Collins. He was a lifelong friend.”

Earlier today, the only person to be hit with a fatal shot Ronald "Banga" McPhatter was laid to rest.

Police continue to investigate.
