Kembe X is releasing his new single at the right time. The Chicago rapper's name has been on the mind of fans and media members alike amidst rumors that he was signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. Kembe X does a great job of capitalizing on the increased attention by putting out the track "10 Feet Tall "produced by Bentley Hazelwood.

"10 Feet Tall" is scheduled to appear on the Chicago MC's upcoming project Talk Back. The song is a good example of why TDE might be interested in Kembe X as he unleashes some impressive lyrics over a soulful production.

"Shine before I learned to crawl, Paul Wall/Answered 'fore I learned to call a prophylactic contraceptive, bitch i'm raw dog/Niggas say you gotta pick a lane and I'm the nigga came to piss 'em all off/Ride around and bump my favorite hits that range from Robert Kelly up to Sosa," Kembe X raps.

The rumors surrounding Kembe X all began this past Saturday (June 18) when the rapper went on Twitter and posted a picture of himself with a TDE chain. Many outlets ran with this as a sign that he inked a deal with the label. CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith responded on Sunday (June 19) by stating that he did not sign Kembe X.

"Jus woke up n found out I signed Kembe X," Tiffith sarcastically wrote. "Sbq changed his album cover. Let's keep it going I'm dropN my Ep 2day @ 12. Let's see how many sites post that... When I signed something new I will let y'all know... Kembe X is a friend of the family."

Kembe X may not be signed to TDE, but it is hard to believe posted that picture without knowing the speculation it would cause. It looks like everyone will have to wait and see what "friend of the family" really means.
