Thursday (June 16) would have been Tupac's 45th birthday and to celebrate, the production team behind his upcoming biopic All Eyez on Me let the film's first teaser trailer go. But that wasn't the only Pac send-up as Chicago's G Herbo dropped an homage of his own, remixing the 1997 classic "Hail Mary."

Throughout the track, Herb weaves clever Pac references between bars of tough talk, rattling off lines like "I might go to hell when I’m smoking mary nigga I’m a young 2pac" and "Young Pac in the flesh, Glock on my waist / Gold chain on top of my vest / Hit'em up and soon as I get around my ambitions/ as a rider yall know the rest" with effortless dexterity. The 2016 XXL Freshman keeps it rolling throughout, even referencing Pac's filmography which such lines as "And I uses to have dreams of being above the rim / On the court shooting hoops but instead / I was posted on Essex me Capo, and Lil roc /
Toted jocks with the juice."

Herbo last dropped "Back on Tour" last month before he set out on the road as part of the Smoker’s Club Tour with a lineup that includes Cam’ron, The Underachievers, Smoke DZA, Nyck Caution and more. The whole gang is in Denver, Colorado tonight with things wrapping up in Norfolk, Virginia on July 14. Listen to the "Hail Mary" remix up top with the full list of tour dates available as well.
