Anik Khan Asks for Unity on “Renegade”

Anik Khan is back with his new single "Renegade." After releasing “Too Late Now" a few months back, Anik continues his strong 2016 run with his newest record. With 2016 being such a turbulent year, "Renegade" finds Anik rapping about peace and unity. The son of a freedom fighter turned taxicab driver, Anik embraces differences and struggle. Over and upbeat tempo with a reggae vibe, Anik shines as he shows off his creativity in his delivery while delivering poignant lyrics. All he wants is people to come together and share in their differences.

“I just wanted people to feel good and feel like they have a voice,” Khan explains to Pigeons & Planes. “Musically I’m mixing parts of the world I was raised around which also (subconsciously) is bringing two narratives closer: black and brown.”
