The death of Afeni Shakur inspired The Game to honor his mother as well as all the moms out there. With Mother's Day right around the corner, the Compton rapper reflects on everything his mom did for him on the new track "Mama" featuring Sonyae.

The Streetrunner and Tarik Azouzz produced song sees The Game declaring that "we ain't shit without our mamas." The "Put You on the Game" rapper explains that everyone from Tupac Shakur to Barack Obama would not be the same without the influence of their mother. The Game also takes an opportunity revisit his own experience.

"When we was lil ass kids, fall in the dirt, you call your mama/Now you bought to get merked, screaming for your mama/And when it's on, funeral home/There go your mama, wish you brought your ass home and left the drama alone/I had my mama waiting by the window/Coming home three in the morning smelling like indo/And even though we had some long nights, we was friends though/Got my name from you mama, playing Nintendo," The Game raps.

The Game concludes things by hoping that he passes away first as he does not want live in a world without his mother. The Game even takes the time to pay his respects to Afeni Shakur. It's a special track which shows the "El Chapo" rapper cares deeply. Shakur's death served as a reminder that he need to convey his appreciation for his mom before he no longer has the opportunity to do so.
