Mother's Day is this Sunday (May 8) as many of the mothers out there will receive some love and recognition from their families. Stro wanted to thank his mom for all she's done for him, so what better way to express it than through a song.

Stro gets the upcoming festivities going a little early with his new song titled "Happy's Motha's Day." The track sees the young Brooklyn rapper reflecting on the influence of his mother in his life and how she steered him down the right path.

"Happy Mother's Day, happy Mother's Day/I never go against what my mother say/Mother said now was gon happen like the other day/Without mother, yo, I couldn't see another way/I done ran away from home like a few times/Mama done listen to a few rhymes/Then warned me about trouble with a few dimes/Mama's the reason I don't do crimes/Don't let 'em hurt you, use to politic about curfew/Two jobs to work, you come home, I irk you/Since two, a minor argument that you sit through/The queen and the king, the shit's true," Stro raps.

The song is a nice way for a talented MC like Stro to show his appreciation for his mother. "Happy Motha's Day" serves as a follow up to the former X Factor contestant's new mixtape Best By Far, which dropped back in January.
