Rich Gang is back with a new single but not with the lineup many fans hoped would return. The cast of Rich Gang heard on "Pull Up" does not include Young Thug or Rich Homie Quan. Instead, this one is led by Cash Money boss Birdman and singer Jacquees. The group is rounded out by lesser known artists J-Soul, Ralo and Derez.

Oddly enough, the song title reuses a track name from the Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan version of Rich Gang's Tha Tour Pt. 1 mixtape. It seems that Birdman has no issue reusing that moniker despite its overwhelming association with the aforementioned Atlanta duo, so why not reuse titles too?

Although Birdman may not have his old tandem to work with here, that does not stop him from trying to replicate their success. First of all, the Cash Money co-founder enlists London on Da Track for the production. And in a more blatant way, one of the rappers on the track is completely mimicking Young Thug's style.

Despite the appearance that they are no longer involved, Birdman told XXL that Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan remain a part of Rich Gang. He also said the two inspired him to start working with more new artists.

"Working with Thug and Quan really gave me a whole [new] motivation about working on new music because I was more on my CEO shit," Birdman said. "I just felt I wanted to come with a whole new vibe, a bunch of new faces. Faces that haven’t been used but are very talented. I’m excited about the talent. I do this shit hands down. I see all of them just branching off and being superstars."

Unless something drastically changes, it looks like fans will have to get used to the new Rich Gang lineup. You can expect to see "Pull Up" on the group's upcoming album Rich Gang the Lifestyle 2.
