Nipsey Hussle returns with his Marathon Mondays series dropping the fire Buddy assisted track "Status Symbol 2."

A follow up to the 2014 Marathon Mondays track of the same name, the new edition is produced by Mike & Keys, DJ Khalil, Mars and Tariq Beats with additional production from 1500 or Nothin.

While the instrumental is laid back, Neighborhood Nip spits with aggression. "I'm the type to make the news when I trip/Prolly be my downfall a short fuse on a Crip/And I'm working on my temper put some jewels on my wrist/'Cause I'll rather be that nigga on a cruise with my bitch/Boat dock, only food is a fish/On the coast to Greece nigga where the views is the shit," he raps.

The cover art for the single features a naked Naomi Campbell, smoking a cigarette and pointing a gun.

It was recently reported that Nipsey was working with Snoop Dogg and Just Blaze on the Doggfather's new LP. Snoop broke the news on Instagram by posting a video of a studio session between the three artists. “Right place right time, next thing, I got @Nipsey Hussle and @SnooopDogg in the booth trading bars. Got me engineering and recording vocals like its 2001 again,” Just tweeted about the session.

Fans have been waiting patiently for years for Nipsey's debut album Victory Lap, and it appears they will have to wait a little bit longer as the project still remains without an official release date. Maybe 2016 will be the year.
