It's no secret Master P is not only the founder of the iconic No Limit Records, but also one hell of a basketball player. Back in the day Percy with the 14K Gold ceilings actually balled out in the NBA.

Although he had two separate contracts back in the '90s with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors, today Master P is paying homage to his favorite player Dominique Wilkins with a new catchy track named after the Atlanta Hawks alum.

On "Dominique Wilkins" Master P and featured artist Moe Roy create the sonic element to the Human Highlight Film's tapes with stat-filled bars dedicated to praising the nine-time NBA All-Star. The Ice Cream Man explained why he chose to salute the NBA legend.

"Growing up, Dominique was one of my favorite hoopers, so why not make a song about a real legend supreme that opened the doors for some of the greatest NBA players of today," he said. "Every fan that's wearing Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant or Lebron James basketball shoes, should also be wearing #21 Dominique Wilkins shoes."

P has been in a nostalgic mood as of late. He chopped it up with XXL exclusively to discuss his Ice Cream Man album, which turned 20 earlier this year, and how he created the blueprint for trap music. Shout out to P for reminding the new generation where it all started.

Listen to Master P and Moe Roy gush about one of the best dunkers in NBA history above.
