ILoveMakonnen Calls Out Biters on New “Sound Like Who?”

ILoveMakonnen may have put his resignation letter in, but that doesn't mean there isn't any gas left in the tank. Less than a week after announcing his plans to withdraw from the game and hang up his mic, the rapper drops "Sound Like Who?" a track that calls out all the biters and copy cats out there aping his style.

Overtop Danny Wolf's production, Makonnen sets the scene, walking into a club and hearing songs that all sound the same, or worse, all sound like him. On it, he raps, "Nigga I hit the club, all these fuckin’ songs / Sound the goddamn same, what the fuck these niggas on? / Boy they niggas lame, out here rapping the same shit / And when I pull up on these niggas, they never have no bricks."

The drop comes aa week after Makonnen released "Keep it Low," advising his current partner to exercise discretion. The consecutive releases suggest Makonnen may have something larger looming, his last project coming by way of March's Drink More Water 6. There was word that Makonnen and Lil Yachty were putting out a mixtape together but with news of Makonnen's plan to retire from music, who knows what to make of the proposed project.
