GoldLink Releases “Celebration Freestyle”

GoldLink got to be a contributor to producer Kaytranada's new album 99.9%, but it seems like he was not content with stopping here. To celebrate his birthday, GoldLink borrowed Kaytranada's "A Loser’s Celebration" instrumental for a new track called "Celebration Freestyle."

"I was 18, angry and woke up everyday ready to die for [whatever] and now here I am at 23 years old," GoldLink wrote as the track's description on SoundCloud. "Shit's wild."

The new freestyle is an opportunity for the Washington, D.C. rapper to flex his lyrical prowess over the versatile Kaytranada production. GoldLink is clearly feeling himself as he gets to boasting on the cut.

"We deep as a motherfucker rolling like a clan/Greatest motherfucker with the mic up in my hand/Never looking back cause we just only seek for better things/Your favorite road girl just hit me up, she need that Mary Jane," GoldLink raps.

With summer right around the corner, GoldLink has a busy schedule on deck as he will be performing at quite a few festivals. The 2015 XXL Freshman will kick things off later this month at the 2016 Soundset Festival. Check the full list of GoldLink's festival dates below.
