Post Malone has been hinting at some new music for a while, writing on Instagram last month that he was planning to drop something in the coming week. Nothing materialized though, and just last week, Post published some illustrated cover art to Instagram writing "soon come" presumably in reference to an upcoming mixtape. Fans received their first definitive sign yesterday (April 20) however, when the singer/rapper posted a video promising the single "Go Flex" at 12:30 p.m. EST today.

Slightly ahead of schedule, or thanks to a premature leak, the single has appeared online and is included below. Like his previous hit "White Iverson," "Go Flex" is a melody-driven track that deploys a strumming acoustic guitar that backs Post's swaying vocals. On the track, Post sings about the difficulty of chasing money and women, sining on the song's chorus, "Man I just wanna go flex / Gold on my teeth and on my neck / And I’m stone cold with the flex / With my squad and I’m smoking up a check."

The new year has been action-packed for Post, who is currently on the road with Justin Bieber for the singer's Purpose tour. Media outlets and Beliebers alike were on high alert when an image from a Houston nightclub appeared online showing Post with his hand wrapped around Bieber's throat. Malone laughed the incident off, telling Zane Lowe that the two are like brothers, saying of the tour, "I’m so blessed that he chose me to be on this tour and I’m so blessed that I’m able to get this opportunity to turn up with my friends and run around the country and play music.”

Listen to "Go Flex" below with a more official stream coming later in the day.
